Fashion week

Spring is almost here, and this means that the city is filled with numerous culturally enriched events and festivals.

Please find below a summary of some of the events taking place in March and press releases attached to this email.

7th Fashion Week Tel Aviv
March 10–13, 2019

Fashion Week Tel Aviv will be taking place at Tel Aviv‘s picturesque port at Hangar 11, a location known for exclusive concerts and events. Fashion Week will open with a special Gala Event on March, 10th, honoring designer Gideon Oberson, who has influenced fashion in Israel and internationally for over 56 years.

Purim in Tel Aviv
March 21-23, 2019

The Festive spirit of Tel Aviv truly comes alive during Purim. This year, the Purim carnival will be celebrated all over the city with countless parties, parades and festivals for the whole family! 

–  Thursday, March 21st- Purim Parade (adloyada) in Florentin – 10:00-14:00. Follow the giant puppets inspired by the work of the famous Israeli painter, sculptor and author Nahum Gutman into an Urban Purim Parade through the streets of the vibrant Florentine neighborhood .
The Parade will kick off at Washington Boulevard corner of Salame Street at 10am and will end with an event and live music at Reviat Florentine (Hamaon Street 5).

–  Friday, March 22nd- Purim Party at Meir Park
The ultimate Tel Aviv Purim happening will be taking place in a green oasis  in the middle of the City. Meir park will be filled with art exhibits, acrobats, food and drink stalls, drag shows, and more!
10:00 – activities for families and children
12:00 – Nonstop party with top Israeli DJs

–   Saturday, March 23rd– The Annual Zombie Walk
A strange phenomenon takes place every year during Purim…the city is invaded by zombies. The zombies meet at the corner of King George and Ben Zion on Saturday at 21:30 and start walking down Rothschild Boulevard at 22:00.

Fashion Hub Open To Public During Fashion Week Days

Tel Aviv, March 5th 2019: The seventh Fashion Week Tel Aviv will be taking place from March 10 – 13 2019. This year’s Fashion Week is produced in full cooperation with the Blue and White Division at the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Israel.  

“This year, for the first time we are joining forces with the Blue and White Headquarters at Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry, with the goal to continue strengthening and promoting “Made In Israel” fashion brands”, announced Motty Reif, Founder and Chief Producer of Tel Aviv Fashion Week. “In addition, we will continue promoting changed beauty ideals, by including male and female models of all ages, sizes, colors, and religions. Our goal is to remain a driving force behind the fundamental changes occurring in global fashion industry today and the democratization of fashion.”

Naama Kaufman, Vice Director General, Ministry of Economy and Industry and Chairwoman of the Blue and White Headquarters stated that “The textile industry and the Israeli fashion industry have a significant financial potential to contribute to general workforce.  As part of our effort to promote Israeli fashion manufacturers and designers, we have decided to join Fashion Week Tel Aviv by Reif Entertainment and chose it as our main platform to promote our message.”

Fashion Week Tel Aviv will be taking place at Tel Aviv‘s picturesque port at Hangar 11, a location known for exclusive concerts and events.

Special Events Open to Public

Other novelties include the collaboration with GPS Radar, the private fashion community through which industry people will be able to connect and share all relevant updates and information specifically related to Tel Aviv Fashion Week.

Between March 11 – 13 a Designer Showroom will be operated at the Comme Il Faut Flagship Store, located at Hangar 26 at Tel Aviv Port, featuring FW participating designers and other young brands producing for international markets, including:




The Showroom will function as a hub for all fashion innovation and be open for press and visitors. It will feature special presentations, events and lectures on various topics related to fashion, design, technology and more with its own Fashion Innovation Event on the 13.3 at 18:30.

During the duration of the showroom special cocktails such as THE GARDEN OF LONDON & FLORAL BERRY COLLINS by Beefeater, an exquisite London gin will be served to the guests.  Other know Israeli artisans have joined the showroom activities to provide visitors and especially foreign guests with a unique experience during their stay, including: The Tel Aviv Port and Market, Tel Aviv Hotel Association, Lechamim Bakery and others.
